Benefits of UV Lighting and Bipolar Ionization

UV Lighting:

UV lights are effective and work in a specific range. They are known to kill organic growth, such as mold or bacteria. In most cases, the UV light will be installed near the coils to help prevent mold or bacterial growth as air passes through your unit. Since the air passes through the coils, this also kills growth in the air. UV lights are particularly effective in humid climates, where evaporator coils can easily get wet.

Bipolar Ionization:
